Citizen's Trust Bank
Founded in 1921 by African American businessman, Heman E. Perry, on Auburn Street in Atlanta, GA. In 1948 it was the first African American owned bank to join the Federal Reserve Bank.

African American Architectural History
Robert R. Taylor
Robert Robinson Taylor was the first known accredited African American Architect who spent 41 years in service to Tuskegee Institute. Taylor was the first African American to enroll to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After graduating in 1892 he worked for Booker T. Washington at Tuskegee Institute and is credited for helping build 45 campus buildings and drew architectural plans for many others.

Tuskegee Institute, now Tuskegee University, was the heart of African American Architects and Builders in the early 20th century.
Duke Chapel
Duke chapel was designed by Julian Abele, an African American Architect who also designed much of Duke's West Campus. Julian Abele was also the first African American to be admitted to the University of Pennsylvania's Architectural Department.
